Installation Details

A properly designed and installed central heating system should give many (often 20+) years of trouble free service. Unfortunately, some of the most crucial installation steps are often overlooked, or worse - not done at all. During the years we have been with British Gas, we came across a wide range of different systems from good, to absolutely appalling. This along with our training has given us a great insight as to what works and what doesn't.

Here are just two examples of the different types of central heating systems we install:-

The picture to the left is of a condensing combination boiler (combi boiler) and system. Note that there is no need to have a hot water cylinder, as the combi boiler heats the hot water supply to the taps as you use it and the radiators will be controlled by a time switch and main room thermostat.

The picture to the right is of a conventional system using a standard condensing boiler, hot water cylinder and radiators. The cylinder and radiators have thermostats to control temperature, which are in turn controlled by a timer/programmer.

Taking these two examples we can exchange your older, less efficient boiler and replace it with a new condensing style of boiler. It doesn't matter if you have a hot water cylinder and would like a combi boiler, we can upgrade the system to accommodate the boiler of your choice.

Of course, central heating isn't the only thing we install. Gas fires and surrounds, cookers and hobs, water heaters and showers, and virtually any other gas appliance are no problem. Please don't forget we do all types of plumbing work in addition to gas.
